Frank Gaulden's primary areas of practice include general and complex criminal law litigation with an emphasis on DUI criminal defense, driver's license administrative hearings, and appeals. Prior to joining Epstein & Robbins, Frank Gaulden was an Assistant State Attorney in the Fourth Judicial Circuit here in Duval County, Florida, for approximately three years.

During his tenure at the State Attorney's Office, Mr. Gaulden was one of only two attorneys selected to help launch a newly-formed DUI Unit in 2009, specializing exclusively in the litigation of Driving Under the Influence cases. As co-head of the DUI Unit and throughout his career at the State Attorney’s Office, Mr. Gaulden handled DUI cases of every kind, including both misdemeanor and Felony DUI, DUI Manslaughter, DUI Causing Serious Bodily Injury, Boating Under the Influence, and Criminal Refusal cases for the State.

While serving as an Assistant State Attorney, Frank Gaulden also handled thousands of non-DUI related cases, including general misdemeanors and felonies.

Frank Gaulden obtained his Juris Doctorate from the University of Florida, Levin College of Law, graduating in 2007. During his time at the University of Florida, Mr. Gaulden was a national championship winning member of the Trial Team, and also earned a Book Award in Trial Practice.

Prior to attending law school, Frank Gaulden worked his way through his undergraduate education, earning a Political Science degree at the University of California, Irvine, in 2004. Mr. Gaulden graduated magna cum laude, was awarded the Order of Merit, and also was an editor for UCI's undergraduate Law Review.

Frank Gaulden currently resides here in Jacksonville, Florida, with his wife and two daughters.  He is an active member in the Jacksonville community.  He is currently serving on the Education Committee as part of the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce.  As part of the Education Committee, Frank Gaulden will be participating in activities involving speaking to middle school children and being a part of a mentoring program.
