Mr. Nichols' primary area of practice includes General and Complex Criminal Litigation with a heavy emphasis on felony and misdemeanor dui law. Mr. Nichols also practices in the fields of Civil and Commercial Litigation.
Mr. Nichols is a lifetime resident of Jacksonville, graduating from Episcopal High School and completing his undergraduate studies at Jacksonville University, majoring in Psychology and History. He obtained his Juris Doctorate from the Shepard Broad Law Center at Nova Southeastern University in 1998. While in law school, Mr. Nichols was a member of Phi Delta Phi honors fraternity and was a Student Defender with the school's Honor Court.
Prior to joining Epstein & Robbins, Mr. Nichols was associated with the law firms of Wicker, Smith, O'Hara, McCoy, Graham & Ford, and Bullock, Childs, Pendley & Reed. He also served as an Assistant Public Defender in Jacksonville, Florida.
Mr. Nichols currently resides in Jacksonville with his wife, Caroline and two twin children, Richard and Catherine. He volunteers his time as a presiding judge and teen-attorney trainer with the Duval County Teen Court Program. He is a member of Meninak, St. Mark's Episcopal Church (Current Vestry Member), and is on the Alumni Board of Episcopal High School.
